Prior to working at Servest, Callum was the manager of a children’s care home for seven years. This role was one that he enjoyed and was able to utilise his life skills to support the young people to achieve their goals. Although it was an extremely rewarding role, it was also very challenging and after seven years Callum decided it was time for a new challenge.
SERVEST JOURNEY SO FAR
Callum decided Servest would present the change he was looking for and started with the company in 2010 as an In-Store Cleaning Manager (ISCM). He knew instantly that he liked the fast paced industry where no two days were the same and enjoyed working with a close team to overcome challenges together.
At the site Callum was originally based, he worked his way up to senior regional manager before moving over to another of Servest’s accounts as general manager. The role of general manager is one that he often finds challenging, however he finds that working alongside the Servest team not only makes it easier, but also more enjoyable. The culture of support is what allows Callum to overcome the day to day challenges that the food and distribution sector brings.
LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
Callum sees his future at Servest as he loves his job, is passionate about was he does and thoroughly enjoys working with the people in the company. Looking to the future Callum’s goal is to continue training, coaching and supporting new employees in the business, so the experience and knowledge he has gained along the journey can be passed on to the next generation.
“I look forward to working as part of the Servest family, continuing to strive to be the best by investing in our colleagues and by putting people first.”
