Committee

As committee members, you will make decisions as a collective group and hold joint responsibility for decisions and actions taken by the network. You will be responsible for ensuring that all decisions are taken in the best interests of the network and that their role is carried out effectively. Individual members should demonstrate selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.

Chairperson

The Chairperson will be responsible for making sure that each meeting is planned effectively, liaising with Kate Boswell, and that matters are dealt with in an orderly, efficient manner. The Chairperson must make the most of all their committee members, allocating responsibilities, building and leading the team. This also involves regularly reviewing the Committee’s performance against agreed objectives with the Board sponsors.

 Charlotte Coles-Morris

Marketing and Communications Rep

Charlotte will be responsible for developing and guiding the brand, themes and objectives of the network internally to colleagues and externally via social platforms.

Tom Copsey

Recruitment Rep

The business recognises the importance that the recruitment process plays in ensuring that our colleagues have been hired based on their ability, skill set alone and personality. This excludes any protected characteristics covered within CHROMA. Tom will ensure that any points raised within the network can be applied directly to our recruitment processes.

KATE BOSWELL

Intersectionality Rep

Through CHROMA we want to ensure that the experiences of all network members are shared and overlapped. As the intersectional rep, Kate will sit across all three networks ensuring that identity markers (e.g. “woman” and “black”) do not exist independently of each other, and that each informs the others. This will allow for a holistic approach toward tackling discrimination and increasing diversity and inclusion within the business.

HR Reps

HR reps will have responsibility to link with our HR function to achieve desired outcomes. For example, if your network believes that the current HR Policy on Equal Opportunities needs developing further based on the networks discussions and desired outcomes it’s your responsibility to link with HR to achieve this.

Events & Social Rep

Events and Social Reps will have responsibility for driving the sense of community within each network and creating a social calendar, whether this be a conference, community or internal event.

Divisional Reps

Each of our divisions will have members that identify within one or more of the minority groups identified within CHROMA. Two divisional sponsors will be in place across Corporate, Cleaning, Catering, Security, Technical Services and Integrated Solutions. These committee members will be able to share their divisional experiences, ideas and knowledge to help us drive positive change within the business. CHROMA has been developed to support you in any way that it can.

If you would like to be heavily involved with the running of the network, which will involve working closely with the UK Board sponsors, you can apply for one of the committee roles as outlined above.
