What did you expect to get out of your apprenticeship?
“I expected to learn more about my current role and gain a better understanding of how the chefs operate so I could then support them.”
What have you learnt and how has it helped you?
“I have learnt a huge amount about myself and my own management style. I’ve become much more confident in my management abilities and have become more mindful of the way I do things within the workplaces. My apprenticeship also helped me to learn more about other parts of the business and understand how everything fits together.”
What support did you receive from the business?
“My manager has supported me throughout and has provided me with the time that I needed to work on my qualification. The skills coaches worked around my availability and adapted to fit around my workload.”
