Prior to Servest
Leaving school at the age of sixteen Martin went straight into working for a manufacturing company where he stayed for eleven years putting himself through night school to achieve his level one, two, three and majority of level four in Chartered Institute of Management Accountants qualifications.
Servest journey so far
Martin joined Servest in 2014 as an assistant group commercial accountant. Instantly he was struck by the fast paced environment and enjoyed the variety of work that makes no two days the same. Martin gets on well with his colleagues and enjoys the camaraderie they share, but most importantly he knows they all pull together when it is necessary to do so. As part of his role to cost new business wins, Martin also works closely with the client solutions and sales teams, and he counts his biggest achievements as playing his part in winning large contracts for the company.
Looking to the future
Martin’s personal goal is to become a fully qualified accountant by completing his CIMA exams. He enjoys his role at Servest and sees a future with the company but will always remain flexible and take every day as it comes. He will continue to work with the commercial team to push the business forward.
“The best part of my job is my team, their attitude and work ethic means that we can all laugh together but can also rely on each other to get even the most difficult tasks completed.”
