Servest recognised for support of the Armed Forces community.
In a ceremony on Thursday 23rd November, Commodore Matt Harrison OBE Royal Navy, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, awarded Servest with an Armed Forces Covenant Silver Employer Recognition Scheme Award. The event, held at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, celebrated the achievements of Servest, along with five other East Anglian employers, in supporting the Defence community.
Since it was established in the UK, Servest has recognised the value that the Armed Forces community brings to the business and is hugely supportive of Veterans and their families, actively encouraging flexible working for military spouses.
Rob Legge, CEO, Servest Group Ltd, commented:“We’re all incredibly proud to be honoured with the ERS Silver Award for our commitment and support to defence personnel. There’s no question that the Armed Forces community possess a unique set of skills and experience, and it’s an honour to offer them the opportunity to put them into practice in new and exciting ways.”
The Employer Recognition Scheme was launched in 2014 to recognise and reward UK employers for their support and commitment to Defence. The scheme encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employers that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to Defence and the Armed Forces Community. Find out more on the award here.
Commodore Harrison, said: “After 30 years in the Royal Navy, I understand, more than most, how essential forces-friendly employers are. Those who serve or have served offer employers a wealth of knowledge and, in turn, many employers are prepared to offer a rewarding work environment. My thanks and congratulations go to all of the East Anglian employers for the work they have done and continue to do in supporting the Defence community.”
