Facilities management service provider Servest Group has won a contract to supply catering services to Travis Perkins, one of the UK’s leading builders’ merchants.
The one-year contract, which started in November, is for supplying breakfast, lunch and dinner to staff at the Brackmills distribution centre in Northampton. The meals are prepared and served by five dedicated Servest staff from Monday to Friday.
Travis Perkins has been supplying building materials for over 200 years and is one of the UK’s largest suppliers to the building and construction industry, with over 600 stores across the country. The Brackmills site currently employs 600 people and that number is expected to rise to 800 this year.
Servest was awarded the contract based on a strong reputation within the industry, and through exceeding the client’s budgetary expectations.
Rob Legge, Servest’s Chief Executive Officer UK and Europe, said: “We are delighted to win the contract with Travis Perkins, after a contact in the industry recommended us to the client. They were so impressed with this testimonial and with our proposal that they signed the letter of intent just two weeks later. We have a strong reputation within the industry, we were able to exceed the client’s budgetary expectations, and it was clear to them that we are dedicated to delivering the best to our clients.”
