Facilities management service provider Servest Group is delighted to announce that it will be delivering nationally accredited training to its workforce in conjunction with its training partner, Sarina Russo Job Access, a government funded training provider of employment skills.
Servest be offering the City & Guilds qualification in Practical Cleaning Skills to its cleaning operatives who work on contracts in London. Once completed, Servest aims to work with Sarina Russo Job Access to roll out the training programme nationwide.
The training is based around a 19-hour programme of core practical cleaning skills in different sample environments including hotel bedrooms, bathrooms, IT server rooms and general office rooms. It will be delivered by a team from Sarina Russo Job Access.
The first set of employees to take part in the programme are cleaning operatives working on contracts across London including the Science and Natural History museums, Hilton Park Lane and all of Servest’s public sector contracts. The aim by summer is to have 150 staff a month complete the programme.
“This is an exciting opportunity to develop our people with a nationally-recognised qualification, which will bring consistency and improved standards across all of our contracts,” said John Robinson, Learning and Development Manager at Servest Group.
