Servest’s search for the next generation of future leaders is on

Servest’s innovative Future Leader development programme opens its doors for 2017’s entrants.

The leading facilities management company is on the lookout for the next generation of future leaders following the success of the scheme. Applications for the programme are now open and will stay open until the 25th November.

Promising young business leaders from across the country are being encouraged to apply for the two-year programme. Successful candidates will experience a vast range of roles and departments; from building services and cleaning, to finance and marketing. In addition to learning practical, hands-on skills, the future leaders will also study management skills, backed up by the level 3 ILM qualification in Facilities Management. The scope of the programme has been designed to ensure they are well prepared for their journey into the working world.

Applicants will need to demonstrate commitment to Servest’s core values: only passionate, original, reputable and active candidates need apply! A rigorous, cutting-edge assessment process will determine whether they’ve got what it takes to make the cut.

Last year, Servest whittled down six future leaders from a selection of more than 100 applicants. In order to find the cream of the crop, Servest has done away with traditional recruitment methods. Instead of sending in a CV, applicants are asked to “creatively” demonstrate their skills, proving that they have the spark and originality required. If successful, candidates will progress onto the next stage, which involves a telephone interview and assessment day.

The third influx of future leaders will earn an initial salary of £20k in their first year, rising to £22k in their second. At the close of the programme, each participant will then go on to join the most relevant division, or will carry on studying for further qualifications if they want to join a specialist function. The program actively reflects Servest’s commitment to personal and professional development.

Rob Legge, Group CEO, said: “The scheme demonstrates Servest’s commitment to developing talent to ensure a leadership pipeline of dynamic and committed individuals. We are looking forward to meeting the next generation of future leaders.”
