Passion for Social Media
After finishing his course at university, Simon decided to take two years out to travel. During this time he visited amazing places and experienced new cultures. On his return, Simon embarked on a career in marketing, taking on a marketing assistant role at a local brewery. Impressed with his work, Simon was soon promoted to the role of social media producer and became part of the in-house digital team. This is where he found his passion for digital marketing and after proving his aptitude, Simon was once again promoted to senior social media producer role.
Digital Marketing at Servest
Joining Servest in May 2016 as a digital marketing specialist, Simon’s initial impressions of the company exceeded his expectations. It didn’t take long for him to appreciate the Servest culture, finding that the enthusiasm and passion that he experienced in his interview was companywide. Excited to apply his digital knowledge to a new industry and gain skills and experience in B2B marketing, Simon quickly immersed himself in the sector. His priority was to bring Servest’s social media channels together to ensure consistency across the different platforms and improve their reach. Setting a high standard across social, he then started to use his skills on other projects, ranging from conducting photoshoots to supporting websites.
More recently, Simon has set out teaching his colleagues on how to use social media platforms to their full potential. Simon travels the country to talk and teach colleagues about the benefits of social media and how best to use them for business. Working with and learning from the teams at Servest is what Simon enjoys the most about his role, as there is always something new to learn. Servest has been a perfect fit for Simon, giving him a great platform to do what he loves while working around him and his life.
