Following government guidelines published on the 11th of May 2020, Atalian Servest are taking the necessary steps to prepare our offices for the safe return of colleagues. We anticipate that the offices will be ready to return to from the 1st of July 2020. The steps that we are taking to welcome our colleagues back are fully in line with government and NHS guidelines, therefore all necessary safety and well-being measures have been put into place.

The New Normal

Our workplace is going to look and feel different compared to how you may remember it. Our offices and workplaces will start to adopt a new normal approach, with social distancing, health, and wellbeing at its heart. As we phase the reopening of our offices, it is vital that you follow the below guidelines:

Stay Alert

Follow Social Distancing Guidelines

Follow signage and direction flow through the building

Only use allocated work areas

Adhere to clear work area policy

Staying alert and social distancing

If we all stay alert and practice social distancing, we can all help to control the spread of the virus. This means that as we phase return to work, you must:
• Limit contact with other people
• Keep your distance from others (two metres apart where possible)
• Wash your hands regularly

Follow property signage and flow directions

The QHSE team and our Integrated Solutions team, who manage our office environments, have mapped out flow of movement and social distancing guidelines for each of our properties.

Reception – entrance will be quick and efficient to reduce social interaction. Line managers will advise you on your required arrival time, which must be adhered to at all times. If you are unable to stick to this time window, you must alert your line manager as a priority. Failure to do so could compromise the safety of you and your colleagues and may result in disciplinary action being taken.

Kitchen areas – kitchen facilities will be open for use, but access will be limited to ensure that social distancing is maintained. Appropriate cleaning materials will be provided, and all colleagues will be expected to wipe down areas of use after they have finished. It is advisable that where possible you limit the use of kitchen areas. Whilst cups, cutlery, and crockery will be cleaned every evening – it is recommended that you look to bring your own.

Washroom facilities – Washroom facilities will be open although access will be limited, and additional hygiene provisions will be provided including wipes and sanitisers.

Meeting spaces – meeting rooms and booths will be clearly signposted with the maximum number of people that are permitted to use each space. The number of people allocated to each space has been based on ability for social distancing.

Use of PPE – The use of PPE is at each non-frontline colleagues’ discretion and we advise following government guidelines and using PPE if you feel necessary.

Allocated work areas and clear desk policy – Allocated work areas in each of our offices will be clearly demarcated and you must only sit in an allocated space.
